Neuse River Wastewater Pump Station and US 301 Force Main

- Description: This project involves replacing an existing sewage pump station along US 301 near the Neuse River in Smithfield. The project will construct a new 1,500 GPM triplex submersible sewage pumping station, a flow meter vault, a diesel generator, a vapor phase odor control system, approximately 130 linear feet of 16-inch gravity sewer (including trenchless construction of 56 linear feet of steel encasement across an NCDOT roadway), and approximately 655 linear feet of 12-inch and 14-inch diameter force main. Upon startup of the new station, the existing one will be demolished. The project is designed to handle raw wastewater and includes comprehensive infrastructure for electrical, control, and odor management systems. It also has provisions for future expansion and is subject to various regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and environmental protection requirements.
