Scheduled System Upgrade and Temporary Service Interruption

Johnston County Public Utilities will be undergoing a major software upgrade to improve our billing services. To facilitate this transition, our account systems will be temporarily offline.

Dates of Outage: Friday, April 10 – Sunday, April 12

During this maintenance window, please be aware of the following:

  • Customer Service: Our physical customer service counter will be closed on Friday, April 10.

  • Payments: We will be unable to accept payments online, over the phone, or in person.

  • Account Access: Staff will not have access to customer records or billing history.

What you should know:

  • No Disconnections: No water services will be disconnected for non-payment during this brief upgrade period.

  • Emergency Services: Our maintenance crews remain on standby. If you experience a water or sewer emergency, please contact us at 919-989-5075 during normal business hours (M – F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm) or 919-989-5056 after hours. 

We appreciate your patience as we work to provide you with a more efficient billing experience. All systems and our service counter are expected to resume normal operations on Monday, April 13.
