Notes:

1. Many addresses with a town mailing address are permitted by Johnston County. The tool below tells you which office applies to your property.
2. This page tells you where to apply for a permit. To see permits already issued at an address, use Find Building Inspections Permits by Address.

Find Your Permit Office

• Type the address the way it appears on mail — for example, 206 W Main.
• Include the direction (N, S, E, W) if your address has one. Some streets run both north and south, and the two ends are not always permitted by the same office.
• If you are not getting results, use less of the address. For example, 1247 for just the house number or 123 M.
• You can also enter the Parcel ID.
