April 3 - Good Friday
May 25 - Memorial Day
July 3 - Independence Day
September 7 - Labor Day
November 11 - Veterans Day
November 26-27 - Thanksgiving
December 24, 25 and 28 - Christmas

Landfill and Convenience Sites

Landfill Hours (year-round):

The Landfill facility is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding county holidays.

Convenience Sites Winter Hours (October 1st - April 30th):

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed

Convenience Sites Summer Hours (May 1st - September 30th):

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday and Wednesday: Closed

Public Utilities Office

The Johnston County Public Utilities Office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, excluding county holidays. Our phone number is (919) 989-5075 and fax number is (919) 934-0256.
