Johnston County to Host Two Drop-In Sessions on Proposed Unified Development Ordinance

 

 

The first of two drop-in sessions on Johnston County’s proposed Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) is scheduled for Wednesday, September 9, at the Johnston County Agricultural Center, 2736 N.C. 210, Smithfield.

County Planning and Zoning staff will be on hand to answer questions and stations set up around the Ag Center auditorium will highlight key aspects of the proposed UDO, including subdivision standards and required buffers between new development and its farm neighbors.

Johnston County residents can drop in any time between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to learn about the UDO. County staff and consultants will be on hand to answer questions.

A second drop-in session will be held Wednesday, September 23, in the lobby of the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium at Johnston Community College, 245 College Road, Smithfield.

The latest draft on the UDO will be available September 2 at johnstonnc.gov/planning.
