Johnston County Launches Thriving Together Newsletter to Share Stories of Service, Innovation, and Community
For Immediate Release: November 5, 2025
Smithfield, N.C. - Johnston County Government has launched Thriving Together, a monthly newsletter. The online publication, which debuted in October, includes links to detailed stories from County Commissioner meetings and in-depth profiles of County agencies. It also celebrates the successes and milestones of County employees.
The newsletter will be distributed on the 15th of every month and is free for everyone. Visit our website today to sign up for the service. While you're there you can also subscribe to the County's press release list, JOCO Alert emergency notifications, Planning and Zoning's email notification list, Parks and Recreation program updates, and FraudGuard Alert Service from the Register of Deeds Office.
To view every report from last month's newsletter, you can visit our website here.
This month, in celebration of Veterans Day, the newsletter will explore the Veterans Service Office and the help it provides to the Johnston County men and women who have served their country in the military.
And in observance of November as Alzheimer’s Disease and Caregivers Awareness Month, the newsletter will take readers on the journeys of two caregivers, including Registrar of Deeds Craig Olive.
