911 Service Restored for Brightspeed Landline Customers in Kenly, Smithfield, and Fuquay-Varina

Smithfield, NC - 

Earlier this morning, Brightspeed experienced a landline service disruption that affected approximately 9,418 customers in the Kenly, Smithfield, and Fuquay-Varina areas. This outage may have impacted the ability of Brightspeed landline customers to reach 911. Service has now been restored. This was not a Johnston County 911 equipment issue.
