Johnston County Public Utilities' Customer Service Counter Closing Early on June 30

For Immediate Release:

Smithfield, NC – On Monday, June 30, 2025, Johnston County Public Utilities will close the customer service counter at 309 E. Market Street in Smithfield at 2:00 p.m. due to end-of-year business processing. We will not offer payment services to customers after 2:00 pm on June 30. All payment processing including online billpay and automated  phone billpay, will be suspended until Tuesday, July 1 at 8:00  a.m. Customers can use the after-hours drop box located on the exterior of the Land Use Center building to pay your water bill with a check payment only.
