PUBLIC NOTICE
DECEMBER APPOINTMENTS
The Johnston County Board of Commissioners will be considering the following upcoming appointments. Please note the deadline to apply is November 18, 2025. Applicants must be a resident of Johnston County.
Juvenile Crime Prevention Council – 5 positions: 4 positions; 2 year terms. Applicants must represent one of the following areas: Chief of Police, member of business community, and two individuals under the age of 21.) 1 position to fill an unexpired term ending August 31, 2026 representing General Public.
Livestock Arena Management Board – 2 positions; 2 year terms.
Pleasant Grove Community Building Board of Trustees – 4 positions; 2 year terms.
Nursing Home/Adult Care Home Community Advisory Board – 15 positions; 1 year term for new appointees or 3 year terms for reappointed members. “No person or immediate family member of a person with a financial interest in a home served by a committee, or an employee or governing board member of a home served by a committee, or immediate family member of a patient in a home served by a committee may be a member of a committee.”
Veterans Services Advisory Board – 3 positions; 2 positions for 3 year terms and 1 position to fill an unexpired term ending April 30, 2027. Eligible applicants must be Veteran and reside within one of the following Johnston County Board of Commissioner Districts: District 2, District 3, District 4. One position will be appointed to represent each District.
