Since 2011, Johnston County Communications has been an IAED Accredited Center of Excellence in the EFD, EMD, and EPD protocols. Johnston County is accredited as the world’s 3^rd Triple ACE, with only two other agencies ever accomplishing this. On January 17th, 2024, Johnston County’s 911 Communications Department has been reaccredited for the fifth time by the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) as a Triple Accredited Center of Excellence. The IAED is a standard-setting organization for emergency dispatch protocols worldwide.
