Childbirth Classes

Childbirth classes are open to everyone, and are recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy. This class will help you and your partner prepare for the birth of your first baby.  You will receive approximately eight to ten hours of instruction.

Childbirth classes cover:

  • Relaxation
  • Breathing techniques
  • Medication
  • Self-care
  • Methods of childbirth
  • Baby care

It is very important to plan to attend all classes!

Classes are taught by Kimetha Fulwood, Health Educator. You may contact the instructor by calling the JCPH at (919) 989-5200.

2025 Class Series

The next series of Childbirth classes begins on May 6, 2025.
