Questions asked and discussed in this meeting:

  1. What kind of facility is the airport looking to build? The airport aims to develop a ‘Public Safety Center’ dedicated to aviation agencies which provide crucial first-response statewide operations. The proposed project looks to build one (potentially two) 180x100 hangar(s) with included office space.
  2. Will this hangar complex need amenities such as shower, bathroom, sleeping quarters, etc.? Yes, it is anticipated full bathrooms, kitchen, and sleeping quarters in its design. Office space and amenities would preferably accommodate 30-55 people.
  3. Who is responsible for the concrete work leading up to the hangar? The selected bidding party will not be responsible for the large installation of concrete apron in front of the hangar complex. This portion of the contract will be completed by a site civil firm already working with the airport.
  4. What kind of fire retardant is preferred? The airport is NOT looking to incorporate foam suppression. Water is to be used if required.
  5. Will this be grant funded? Yes, the airport anticipates this being a grant-funded project. Please note this project may not come to fruition if the anticipated grant funding is not secured.
