April 30, 2025 - Steve has served our health department for 36 years, starting as an Administrative Assistant in 1989 and advancing to an Administrative Officer, Local Public Health Administrator, and now Human Services Deputy Director.  Steve utilizes his many years of experience to mentor other finance officers and has formed great partnerships with our county leadership and finance team.  They often seek and respect his input during planning sessions.  He assures that every dollar spent is necessary and likes to say "If you can't say no, then yes has no meaning."  His dedication to our agency being fiscally disciplined allows us to expand services and to continue to enhance our current services.
