10 HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JOHNSTON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING JULY 21 , 2025 - 6 00 PM Videos of the Johnston County Board of Commissioners meetings may be viewed at the following https wwwyoutubecom jocogovnc 1 Approval Discussion of Agenda - Agenda approved 2 Public Comments - There were no public comments 3 Moseley – Final Report of Master Plan – Informational Item Josh Bennett with Mosely will present a final report to the Board on the Master Plan 4 Moseley - Design Proposal for DSS and Onsite Offsite Infrastructure - Informational Item Josh Bennett with Mosely will present a design proposal for DSS and Onsite Offsite Infrastructure 5 Public Utilities – Update on Water Supply Options Study - Informational Item JD Solomon will update the Board on the water supply options study 6 Countywide Transportation Plan CTP Update - Informational Item Planning Director Braston Newton will update the Board on the Countywide Transportation Plan 7 Unified Development Ordinance UDO Update - Informational Item Planning Director Braston Newton will update the Board on the Unified Development Ordinance 8 Manager Reports and Comments County Manager Rick Hester updated the Board on the Golden Leaf Foundation community - based grant program Mr Hester stated for counties in the region , the County Manager can submit up to 4 projects for 2 million dollars and then they will grant up to 3 projects with no more than 15 million th total for each county Mr Hester said this would be done by August 4 for an informal review with a th final recommendation by September 8 Mr Hester said he would be reporting back to the board at a later date 9 Board Reports and Comments Commissioner Michelle Pace Davis stated it was great to attend lunch today with Johnston County Soil and Water at the Agricultural Center and to hear what great things they are doing Commissioner April Stephens said it has been a very eventful week , and she is very proud of Johnston County and the level of service she and her family have received regarding public safety Chairman RS “ Butch ” Lawter , Jr said we talked this morning about our departments and county employees and what they bring to the citizens of Johnston County Chairman Lawter spoke on the words used to describe county employees which are empowering , compassionate , responsive and visionary and thanked them for what they do Page
