de - sac and is the cause for the access easement design Mr Hudson asked about the distance between the entrance and exit for lots 28 through 31 and if it was over 500 ft Mr Sanderson responded no , the lots are 100 ft wide and the distance between the entrance and exit is 250 ft apart Mr Sanderson spoke about the reasoning for the proposed driveway placements and about direction of travel Mr Lovering asked about the need for a second access point Mr Sanderson stated that either design would be acceptable Mr Sanderson stated that more traffic at the intersection presents more opportunity for conflict Mr Marr stated that it was reviewed by NCDOT and there were no comments other than a driveway permit would be required Mr Kerry Jackson , 36 Grantwood Dr , Clayton , NC , adjacent property owner , expressed opposition for the proposed subdivision and expressed concerns for environmental and historical reasons Mr Jackson expressed concerns for the impact on wildlife in the area Mr Sanderson spoke about the proposed lots that go down to the creek Mr Sanderson stated that the land from the woods back to the Great Swamp is the Great Swamp Mr Sanderson stated the area would not perk and it’s likely there are wetlands and wildlife present Mr Sanderson stated that was the reason for not developing in that area Mr Sanderson stated that they would adhere to the County’s stormwater requirements and adhere to the maximum impervious surface requirements There was no further discussion Chairman Letchworth asked for the staff recommendation Mr Marr stated the staff recommended denial due to less than 500 ft of driveway separation and lack of a dedicated right -
