8pm Q Are people asking for QuickRide to be available on the weekends A Yes Absolutely This is a recurring request since we started One of the main reasons noted is those who work Monday through Friday only have the weekend for running errands Others have work schedules that include the weekend and coming up with reliable replacement for transportation that doesn't hurt their finances is a burdensome concern In September , added Saturday service , 6am - 8pm Page 9 of 12Page0Feedback Q Are people asking for the QuickRide service area to be expanded so it fits their needs A Yes Most especially the Clayton area - multiple mentions for Percy Flowers area and the 40 42 area The most frequent request is , " When are we going to go into Clayton with QuickRide Page 10 of 12Page1Feedback Q Any final thoughts A Everyone we have spoken with are VERY happy with the 6 fare price point They feel it is a very reasonable fare and a great value for the service All in all , nothing but great feedback about QuickRide Everyone is hopeful that this service will not only continue , but that it will be expanded to enable quick transportation to towns all over the county Page 11 of 12Page2Sustainability Current funding of pilot program is provided by a one - year grant from NCDOT in the amount of 394,000 & a county appropriation of 150,000 This funding runs through June 30 , 2024 Expansion of the service into the Clayton area would require up to 4 vehicles and staff Current vehicle capital cost is approximately 100k ea Operational funding would also be needed to operate each vehicle Page 12 of 12Page
