DOT as it pertains to the entranceMs Stewart asked how many lots in the subdivision across the streetMr Adams replied around 50-55 is what he remembersMr Lanny Thomas, Swift Creek Nursery, discussed the Ag District and his farmnurseryHe does not believe homes need to be built near plant beds or production areas His ownhome is set back 300 feet He believes there needs to be a buffer following the nurseryline to shield view He also believes there will be complaints from new homeownerseventually concerning the nursery if the berm is not put in The subdivision street crossesa blue line stream and he has issues with that as well He mentioned during the hurricaneit flooded the nursery Another concern of his was the traffic pattern with his nurserytrucks coming and going The subdivision across added they have no issue with putting in a berm if this isapprovedMs Bissette stated that no one had contacted or reached out to them concerning theirprivate road15Mr Adams stated the proposed road is set off the property line and he believes it isaround 25 feet off There are places where the road will be 5 feet off There will not beroom for a buffer in the 5-foot area, he statedMr Creech asked ifit was in a 100-year flood plainMr Adams replied no sir; it is not designated that wayMr Caldwell stated that he does not see how it will not flood if there is a huge rain eventMr Kenneth Thomas, 116 Deer Crossing Drive, his son spoke earlier stated that thesurveyor screwed up and the cul-de-sac is not a cul-de-sac He said this is a hammerheadThe drainage ditch on Deer Crossing Lane goes down near the cul-de-sac and dies outinto Swift Creek There needs to be a culvert there, he added He was an engineeringtechnician for 25 years and he knows what is going on with this siteMr Adams replied that error in the survey does not reflect this property at all and shouldnot be consideredMr Lanny Thomas stated since Cleveland High School had been built there has beensubstantial more flooding in the areaStaff recommendation is for preliminary approvalMs Hackler stated that she is very concerned with all the traffic in this area and with theschools and how they will be impactedUpon a motion by
