January 11, 1974_ mAttorney Knox Jenkins appeare -d before the Board, representing Joe Whitley of Kenly, relativeto an injury received in the Johnston County Courthouse, Smithfield, North Carolin, on January 11, 1974Mr Jenkins described Mr Whitleyss ,injury and stated that he had medical expenses in the, amountof 42200, not including the time loss from work Mr Jenkins stated further that Mr Whitley wasasking the Board of Commissioners for consideration of medical expenses incurred as the result of thisinjuryThe Board after discussion asked Mr Jenkins to discuss this matter with W R Britt, CountyAttorney, and he would report to the Board with, recommendationsMr Jenkins also representing Mr Whitley, talked with the Board regarding a delinquent countytax account which involved the estate of Joseph B Whitley Heirs ofMr•Joe Whitleys father TheTax Collector had presented a delinquent tax account on this property that had not been cleared beforetheJoseph B Whitley estate was divided and transferred and had further processed papers for foreclosureof this property, which involved cost and court costThe Board discussed this matter at length with Mr Godwin, Tax-Collector, Mr Jenkins, Attorney,and Mr Whitley, the Board asked Mr Godwin, Tax Collector, to check on the transfer of this estate andto work out this matter with Attorney Jenkins in effort to get this -
