282July 1, 1971The Johnston County Board of Commissioners met in special called session in the CommissionersRoom of the Johnston County Courthouse, Smithfield, North Carolina, Thursday, July 11 1971, at 9Oclock am, with the following members presentJ Dobbin Bailey, Chairman, Adam J Whitley, Jr, Norman C Denning, Freddie Adams andFrank B HoldingMembers Absent NoneThe following business was transacted1 Interim ResolutionUpon the recommendation of W H Britt, Auditor, Commissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr moved thatthe following Interim Resolution be adoptedRESOLVED, that under authority of Chapter 153, Public Laws of 1943, as amended, Section 128,the Auditor of Johnston County and Treasurer of Johnston County be, and they are hereby authorized toapprove and pay current expenses in the several departments of the County Government not to exceed90 ninety days from the date hereof pending the making of the annual appropriation as authorized insaid law, and further that the expenses so authorized be charged against the final appropriation of theseveral departments of the County respectively when said appropriations are made for the current yearCommissioner Norman C Denning seconded the motion which was carried unanimouslyUpon a motion by Commissioner Adam J,,Whitley, Jr and duly seconded by Commissioner FreddieAdams the Board adjournedVLDobbin Bailey, ChairmanW Britt, Clerk
