812August 4, 1971The Johnston County Board of Commissioners met in special session in the Commissioners Roomof the Johnston County Courthouse, Smithfield, North Carolina, Wednesday, August 4, 1971, at 8 oclockpm, with the following members presentJ Dobbin Bailey, Chairman, Norman C Denning, Frank B Holding, Freddie Adams and Adam JWhitley, JrMembers Absent NoneThe following business was transacted1 Report - L E Wooten and;Company, Consulting Engineers - Water StudyMr Willis D Barlow with L E Wooten and Company, who was employed by the County several monthsago to conduct a survey in regards to the,Benson - Four Oaks water situation met with and apprised theBoard of its progressAfter a very lengthy discussion regarding the cost involved, Commissioner Frank B Holding movedthat L E Wooten and Company, Consulting Engineers, be instructed to continue and complete the WaterStudy between Smithfield and BensonCommissioner Freddie Adams seconded the motion which was carried unanimouslyUpon a motion made and duly seconded the Board adjournedn Bailey, ChairmanEleanor N Creecli, Acting Clerkc
