AppraisalJack Lewis and George Gardner, representatives of Associated Surveys Company, presented to theBoard a schedule of farm land values and a schedule of residential building values to be used in thecurrent appraisal or revaluation of property in the CountyAfter quite a bit of discussion, Commissioner Norman C Denning moved that the following farmland value schedule be adopted tentativelyJOHNSTON COUNTYRURAL LANDThe motion was seconded by Commissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr and carriedr 3 Sample AppraisalsCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that the appraisal representatives be instructed to makeseveral sample appraisals of all types of property and meet with the Board at a later date, and explainand compare the samples with the 1963 appraisalCommissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr seconded the motion which was carried4 Lot - Civil Defense Rescue SquadCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that Commissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr be directed tonegotiate with Mr Howard B Allen for the purchase of a lot in South Smithfield adjacent to the FederalLand Bank property, as a site for a building for the Civil Defense Rescue Squad, and be instructed tooffer him a price up to 12,00000Commissioner Norman C Denning seconded the motion which was carried unanimously5 Storm Doors - Veterans OfficeCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that Commissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr be authorized tohavestbrm doors installed at both the rear and front of the Veterans Service Office BuildingThe motion was seconded by Commissioner Freddie Adams and carried6 Water Drainage Problem -
