Additional Funds - County Forest ServiceMr Little, District Forest Ranger, along with H J Whitley, County Forest Ranger,with the Department of Conservation and Development, presented to the Board a revised budgetfor 1969 -1970 as theState participating funds had become availableThe request presented by Mr Little and Mr Whitley would necessitate an increase of238400 more than appropriations tentatively approved by the Board on June 13, 19692 Mr Ray Hatcher, Resident West Smithfield Sanitary DistrictMr Ray Hatcher a resident of the West Smithfield Sanitary District, appeared beforethe Board inquiring if the Board of County Commissioners had taken any action upon the requestfor a recall electionThe Board advised Mr Hatcher that there had been no decision made and that CountyAttorney W R Britt would work with Mr Jenkins and other interested parties3 Hearing - Non - Profit Housing AuthorityCarroll Stephenson presented to the Board petitions signed by 72 residents of JohnstonCounty, requesting that the Board of County Commissioners hold a public hearing, relative tothe determining of the need for low -rent housing and recommended that such hearing be heldCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that W H Britt, Clerk, with the assistance ofCounty Attorney W R Britt, give notice by advertisement in the Smithfield Herald of thepublic hearing to be held on August 4, 1969, at 12 15 pm, for the purpose of determining theneed for a Non -
