Contingent FundCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that 19385 from the contingent fund be transferredand appropriated to the Training Item of the Civil Defense Budget for expenses incurred in theAmbulance attendahts Course, which would cause an overdraft in the Civil Defense BudgetCommissioner Denning seconded the motion which carried unanimously17 Boarding Home ContractCommissioner J Dobbin Bailey moved that the contract for operation of the JohnstonCounty Boarding Home operating as Marlboro House be extended for a period of one year,beginning September 1, 1968, to Nathan T and Marian W LassiterThe motion was seconded by Commissioner Denning and carried18 Mental Health ProjectCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that the following resolution be adopted1 a The Board of Commissioners of Johnston County do hereby approve ProjectNo NC -MH -9, Johnston Memorial Hospital Mental Health Center, and authorizeas the local share the maximum of 192,60000 in participation by the Countyin the constructing and equipping of this Mental Health Center at a total costof 770,00000b_- And do hereby name the Johnston Memorial Hospital, a direct instrumentalityof Johnston County, with its Board of Trustees, to be responsible for theprosecution of this Mental Health Projectc The Johnston Memorial Hospital, with its Board of Trustees, will actas a Building ;Committee This Committee in to select an appropriate buildingsite, select and nominate an architect, and further, shall be authorizedto advertise for bids, award contracts and purchase equipment necessaryin the constructing and equipping of this Mental Health Center2 -
