WWIMarch 6, 1967Special Meeting Board of County CommissionersThe Board of County Commissioners,reconvened at 630 PM, in special session at JohnstonMemorial Hospital, in the office of the Administrator, with the following members presentH M Johnson, Chairman, J D Bailey and Adam J Whitley, JrAbsent Norman C Denning and Frank B HoldingThe following business was transacted1 Several members of the Hospital Board of Trustees and the Hospital Administrator met withthe Board and discussed the idea of building an addition to the present hospital as apsychiatric unit It was agreed that the twenty 20 bed psychiatric unit addition wouldbe a wise move and should be expedited so that bond money already authorized could be usedto defray the Countys share of the projects costCommissioner Whitley made a motion that W R Britt, County Attorney be instructed toproceedwith arrangements for the issuance of a sufficient amount of the already authorizeshospital bonds to take care of the Countys share of the cost of the psychiatric addition,as soon as the Hospital Board of Trustees could determine what this amount would beCommissioner Bailey seconded the motion, which carriedCommissioner Bailey made a motion to adjournCommissioner Whitley seconded the motion, and the Board adjournedChaff anPole
