The Board of Commissioners of Johnston County reconvened in special session on June 20,1967, at 8 oclock pm, in the office of the Johnston County Auditor, with the followingmembers presentH M Johnson, Chairman, J D Bailey, Frank B Holding, Norman C Denning, and AdamJ Whitley, JrAbsent NoneThe following business was transacted1 Adoption of Budget TentativelyThe Commissioners continued their study of the budget requests and in conclusionCommissioner Frank B Holding moved that the following resolution be adoptedWhereas, W H Britt, Auditor, and Evander S Simpson, Superintendent of Public Schools ,have presented to the Board their estimated budgets for the County and Schools, respectively,for the fiscal year-1967-1968;r3i1?; aJune 20, 1967 ContTherefore, did order that the County and School Budgets for the year 1967 -1968 be acceptedtentatively and the tax rate for the 1967 -1968 be accepted tentatively at the rate of 171,which is distributed as followsTotal County Wide Rate 171Archer Lodge Fire District 1500Micro Fire District 1500Beulah Fire District- 0800Commissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr seconded the motion, which carried unanimouslyOn a motion made, seconded and carried, it was moved thatthe meeting be adjourned
