The Board of County Commissioners reconvened in special session in the Auditors Office,Courthouse, June 13, 1967 at 81oclock pm, with the following members presentH M Johnson, Chairman, Frank B Holding,,J D Bailey, Norman C Denning and Adam JWhitley, JrAbsent NoneThe following business was transacted1 County MoneyCommissioner Holding made a motion that all County Agencies or Departments whose dutyit is to collect or receive any money belonging to the County, be required and directed toturn in, to the County Treasurer, at the end of each month as required in Section 153 -135 ofthe General StatutesThe motion was seconded by Commissioner Denning and carried unanimously2 First National Bank of Eastern N CAt the request of J Narvin Creech, Treasurer, Commissioner Denning moved that the FirstNational Bank of Eastern North Carolina located in Benson be designated as an official deposit-ory of County fundsThe motion was seconded by Commissioner Bailey and carried unanimously3 Transfer from Contingent Fund to Clerk of Superior Court BudgetAt the request of W H Britt, Auditor, Commissioner Holding moved that 4,00000 fromthe Contingent Fund be transferred and appropriated to the budget of the Office of SuperiorCourt for the purpose of defraying an overdraft in the extra help item and equipment andrepairs itemCommissioner Whitley seconded the motion, which carried4 Budget Study 1967 -1968The Board continued its study of the various budget requests, which had been presentedat previous meetingsCommissioner Denning moved that the meeting be recessed until 730 pm, June 15, 1967,at which time a study of the budgets would continueC airmanClerk
