i 516August 1, 1967Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners for theCounty of JohnstonThe Board of County Commissioners of Johnston County convened in special session at 730oclock PM, August 1, 1967, in the Commissioners Room of the Johnston County Courthouse,with the following members presentH M Johnson, Chairman, J D Bailey, Adam J Whitley, Jr, and Norman C DenningAbsent Frank B HoldingThe following business was transactedCommissioner J D Bailey moved the following resolution be adoptedWHEREAS, the Local Government Commission of North Carolina has informed the Board ofCommissioners that it has sold in the manner prescribed by law the 295,000 Public HospitalBonds, Series C, of the County of Johnston, dated August 1, 1967, authorized to be issued bya resolution adopted by the Board of Commissioners on July 12, 1967, and that the contract ofsale contemplates that said bonds shall bear interest as hereinafter provided NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the bonds shall bear interest at the rate of 3 per annumCommissioner Adam J Whitley, Jr seconded the motion and the motion was adopted bythe following voteAYES 4NAYS 0Commissioner Bailey made a motion that Commissioner Adam J Whitley, JR, be authorizedto have a walk -way constructed at the front of the Johnston County Boarding Home, using hisbest judgement as the type of material to be usedMotion was seconded by Commissioner Denning and carried unanimouslyOn a motion made, seconded and carried, it was moved that the meeting be adjournedairmanClerk
