that theLfollowing resolution be adoptedWhereas, it was determined by the investigation of Rhetta Martin, County Tax Attorney, and George Mast,,Attorney, that the county foreclosed for the non-payment of taxes for the year 1927 through 1939 in theil amount of 5819 Lot No 7 of the E F Boyette Sub-Division in the Town of Four Oaks as appears inForeclosure Record No 1page 286 in the office of the Tax Collector for the County of Johnston;And, whereas, the tax records show that payment was made by Cleon Arrington, on April 30, 1940 in the? amount of 5819 representing the years in which the taxes were in arrears and which foreclosure was hadand whereas, it appears that no order was made by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Johnstonto convey said property to the owner or any other person, nor is there any record of conveyance; andja whereas, said property was litted for taxes in the name of Cleon Arrington in 1940 and subsequent years;3822 1966 ContAnd whereas, Lee Sanders and with the Johnston County Bar Association, and that they had adopted a resolutionvoicing no objection to the exchangeAfter a discussion, the proposal was,deferred in order for the Commissioners to make athoroughexamination of Mr Creechs office space9 Civil DefenseWilson Jiggs Broadwell gave a verbal repott of the activities of the Civil Defense program anddistributed books to the Commissioners bearing the title Personal and Family Survival10Pursuant to a request of So Billy Strickland, of Route # 3 Smithfield,, Commissioner Bailey movedthat the Board concur with resolution of the Board of Trustees of Johnston Memorial Hospital adopted ata meeting of the Board on April 15, 1966, stating that the Board of Trustees have no objection to thegranting of Mr Stricklands request to hard - surface a portion of the hospital property as a parkingarea, located between his property and a thoroughfare on the hospital grounds, so long as said areadoes not interfere with the operation and expansion of the hospital facilities under the master planand that he would not restrict office personnel and visitors from using this parking lotCommissioner DenAing seconded the motion, which was Industrial Committee, Mr Garland McLamb,, Commissioner of theTown of Benson, and Mr Donald Archer, Benson Town Manager, requested that the?Board contribute63,007-00 for running a 12 inch water line and an 8 inch sever line from the corporate limits of theTown of Benson to the Southland Manufacturing Company site, at a cost estimated by L E Wooten Company to be 63,,00700Mr Levinson cited that the buildingwould be built by the Southland Manufacturing Company south-east of the Town of Benson, adjacent to 195 Highway and would be a building of 603,000 square feetand that the company would forward andwill construct necessary lines within the Town limits, , and at the end of the five year period, willreceive title to the Countys portion with a continuing obligation to maintain, subject to theapproval of the Town of Benson and the County of Johnston and any of its governmental agencieswill not have to pay the Town of Benson any rights to tap-on said water and sewer lines at any
