it was further movedthat regular session be resumedCommissioner James W Cash seconded the motion which carried by unanimous vote2 Sewer Tap -on Request - Private CitizenThe County Manager advised the board the county has a request from a privatecitizen on the Buffaloe Road to tap -on to the county sewer line at no cost to thecounty This individual would have to pay the cost of the tap -on and would have tocoordinate with Ragsdale Consultants for engineering servicesThe board instructed the County Manager to get more details on the request;such as which town is likely to annex this area, and report back to the board3 Telephone ContractCommissioner James W Cash moved the county enter into an agreement with theCenter for Urban Affairs and Community Services of North Carolina State University toprovide for the purchase of training, demonstration, and research assistance throughthe TACIT ProgramCommissioner Howard Benton seconded the motion which carried by unanimous voteThis agreement Sponsored Training, Demonstration, and Research AssistanceAgreement on file with the Clerk to the Board and County ManagerThe County of Johnston will purchase specific assistance from the Center as setforth in the Agreement This agreement shall commence on the 15th day of June, 1987and terminate upon the completion of all tasks listed in agreement4 Roof on Courthouse - Report and RecommendationThe County Manager reported the roof on the courthouse needs patching andreplacing when the annex is being roofed The joint work and waterproofing needsimmediate attention, estimated cost 43,412;
