Meeting of Board of Commissioners for the County of JohnstonV March 6, 1957The Board on County Commissioners of Johnston County reconvened in specialsession on March 6, at 1100 A M, in the Register of Deeds Office, with thefollowing members presentR P Holding, Chairman, J D Bailey, H M Johnson, and R G GurleyAbsent Floyd C Price, SrThe following business was transacted1 The bid of Rogers Construction Company to furnish all labor and materialnecessary for the erection and completion of livestock pavilion according to plansand specifications set forth on sketch furnished to them on February 8, 1957 in thesum of 770500 was received This was the only bid submitted for the erectionof the livestock arena2 Following a short discussion, the following motion was adoptedOn a motion made by H M Johnson, seconded by J D Bailey, it was moved thatthe bid of Rogers Construction Company for the erection of a livestock arena in theamount of 770500 be accepted, subject to the receipt of a letter from a responsibleperson to the effect that materials for wiring will be furnished and that the wiringof the building would be done without cost to the County3 The lease between the Board of Commissioners and the Johnston County MutualLivestock Association as prepared by J L George, County Attorney was read anddiscussedIt was deemed necessary to withhold adoption of said lease until a future date, Iin order for minor details to be worked outThere being no further business, the meeting was recessed to meet March 18,1957 at 1100 A M, at which time the Board will meet as a Board of Equalizationand ReviewChairman
