October 24, 1994The Johnston County Board of Commissioners met in special session Monday, October 24,1994, at 830 aCommissioners Room, Johnston County Courthouse Annex, Smithfield, North Carolina, with the following members m theNorman C Denning, Chairman, Frank B Holding, Vice Chairman, James W Cash, embers presentF Wood, DDS, Eleanor N Creech, and Cecil M Massengill h John M Booker, DVM, JerryAbsent None Also Present Richard B Self, County Manager, and Joyce H Ennis, Clerk to the BoardThe Chairman called the meeting to order and the fallowing business was transactedThe Board discussed a request from the Johnston County Board of Education asking the Count to commitmillion from the 1995 -96 budget for a new school at Wilsons Mills The School Board is requesting earl commitmentfunds in order to proceed with the project and hopefully have the new school available for student 5Y itment ofdent use in August, 1995Following discussion, Commissioner John M Booker moved the Board commit 15 million from the 1995 -96county budget for a new school at Wilsons Mills Commissioner Booker further moved that the Board agree th atappropriation of this money will not adversely impact funding for other on Kenler scheduled school projects in ClaCorinth Holder and Princeton ytYCommissioner Frank B Holding seconded the motion which carried by unanimous voteThere being no further business, Commissioner John M Booker moved the Board adjourn Commissioner FrankHolding seconded the motion which carried by unanimous vote B627
