10 591 Meeting of the Johnston County Board of Commissioners May 15 , 2015 8 30 am The Johnston County Board of Commissioners met in special session Friday , May 15 , 2015 at 8 30 am in the Johnston County Manager’s Office located in the Johnston County Courthouse , Smithfield , North Carolina in Room B - 206 The following members were present Present Chairman Tony Braswell , Vice Chairman DeVan Barbour , Cookie Pope via speaker phone , Allen L Mims , Jr , Jeffrey P Carver , and Ted G Godwin , Absent Commissioner Chad M Stewart Also Present County Manager Rick J Hester , Clerk to the Board Paula G Woodard , Finance Officer and Assistant County Manager J Chad McLamb , and County Attorney Jennifer J Slusser Chairman Tony Braswell called the meeting to order at 8 30 am 1 Closed Session – NCGS 14331811 a 4 Location Expansion of Industry Commissioner Allen L Mims , Jr moved the Board go into closed session for the purposes of discussing matters relating to the location or expansion of industries or other businesses in the area , pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143 - 31811 a 4 Commissioner Ted G Godwin seconded the motion which carried unanimously No action was taken Commissioner DeVan Barbour moved the Board adjourn closed session and resume regular session Commissioner Ted G Godwin seconded the motion , which carried by unanimous vote There being no further business , Commissioner Jeffrey P Carver moved the Board adjourn Commissioner Allen L Mims , Jr seconded the motion , which carried by unanimous vote The meeting adjourned at 9 00 am ____________________________ Tony Braswell , Chairman Paula G Woodard , Clerk to the BoardPage
