- Half of all flood related deaths occur when someone drives their vehicle into flood waters.
- It is best to avoid the roads altogether, but if you must drive DO NOT drive through flooded roads.
- Flood waters can cause roadways to be washed out. It is always better to be safe. Turn Around, Don't Drown.
- Even if the road is still intact, a small amount of water can still sweep up your vehicle.
