Smithfield, NC – Johnston County Public Utilities has rescinded the water shortage advisory previously issued on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. The Timothy G. Broome Water Treatment Plant has resumed normal operations. We sincerely appreciate the cooperation of our customers over the last few days and apologize for any inconvenience.
